Call for Artists and Arts Educators Information for inclusion in our new Inspiration Ahead Database.

Inspiration Ahead

Carbondale Community Arts is continuing to gather information about area artists and arts educators for our database, “Inspiration Ahead”. The database will allow us artists from all disciplines updated about grant and employment opportunities throughout the region.

Inspiration Ahead will be live on CCA’s web page by summer 2010 and will be available in print form upon request.  Artists from all media are encouraged to submit contact information via the link below.   Visual representations (i.e. photos of work product or of artists/musicians) are encouraged.  The database is begin designed to support a maximum of three images per entry.  All images should be submitted to CCA as jpgs (300dpi so that they can be used in print applications as well) or tiffs.

Exhibit Opportunities

As gallery coordinators for both the Carbondale Civic Center and the Varsity Center for the Arts, we also welcome 2d and 3d artists who are interesting in exhibiting their work in either of these venues to contact us. Exhibits are typically rotated on a monthly basis.  CCA offers assistance with installation, plans and subsidizes receptions, and publicizes the exhibit through multiple local and regional media outlets. Works sold through the exhibits are subject to a thirty percent commission.
