Corridor Gallery Exhibit

Bare Branches, by Lijun Chao 

Through June 30

This exhibit features paintings on fabric, from the series Bare Branches by Lijun Chao. The series reveals the problems of social injustice regarding the traditional concept of bloodline in China. Chao is creating awareness of this injustice on the behalf of the females in China to promote change. Artist Lijun Chao is originally from Heze City, Shandong Province in China, She moved to the US to attend graduate school for painting at SIU Carbondale.
